Gap Funding

With plans not to start the new programme until the autumn of 2007, a ‘gap in funding’ might be created. This is an issue affecting all those organisations and projects which have received funding under the alternative bidding system and these are likely to include national projects, infrastructure organisations in receipt of Technical Assistance and the ERDF projects. Although co-financers have extended some projects into 2008, these will run on very little funding. We are in the process of collating data amongst our members on how they will be affected, and in addition we would like to hear from anyone out there who will be affected adversely by the delay in the new programme. Finally, please note that the website is not as complete as we would like it to be, but we plan to build on it in the future months so as to make it as informative and useful as possible.
